Long Distance Chauffeur Service
A long distance chauffeur from Harrogate or York to London, Edinburgh, the Lake District or any UK airport, in a silver Mercedes-Benz V-Class.
Yes, we drive long distances. From our base in Knaresborough we take clients from Harrogate, York and the surrounding area to anywhere in the UK, most often London, Edinburgh, the Lake District and the London airports, door to door in a silver Mercedes-Benz V-Class. The journey is quoted as one fixed price in writing before you confirm, so a four or five hour drive carries no meter, no surge and no surprise at the other end.
Why people choose a car over the train
The train is quick between city centres, but a long trip rarely starts and ends at a station. Luggage, changes, a taxi at each end and a fixed departure time all add up. A chauffeured car leaves from your front door when you are ready and stops outside the address you are actually going to.
It also gives you back the hours. Our silver Mercedes-Benz V-Class is a luxury MPV seating up to 7 passengers with generous luggage space, suited to executive groups, airport transfers, weddings and events.
Journeys we regularly plan
These are the kinds of long trips already described across this site, each planned around the reason for travelling rather than just the mileage.
- Door to terminal at Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Luton
- A day return to Edinburgh for meetings, with the car waiting
- A London day out and back to Yorkshire in the same evening
- An overnight trip to the Lake District with the return booked in
- Late arrivals at Heathrow brought home to Yorkshire overnight

How a long journey is planned
We agree the collection time working backwards from when you need to arrive, with room for traffic on the A1 and M1 and a comfort stop where you want one. You tell us about luggage, children or a meeting you need to take on the road, and the car is set up for it.
Safety comes first on the longest days. Where a schedule genuinely exceeds what one driver can safely cover, we say so at the quoting stage and plan around it, rather than accepting a booking that would leave the driver tired on the way home.
One way, return or waiting
Some long trips are one way, such as a drop at a London hotel or an airport. Others are day returns, where the car waits or repositions nearby and brings you home the same evening. Multi-day journeys can be quoted as a day rate. Tell us the shape of the trip and we will suggest the option that costs least for what you need, all in one written quote.
Common questions
How far will you travel?
Anywhere in the UK. Our regular patch is Harrogate, York and the surrounding area, and long distance journeys start or finish there.
Is a long distance journey a fixed price?
Yes. You receive one fixed price in writing before you confirm, with no meter running and no surge pricing.
Can the car wait and bring us back the same day?
Yes. Day returns are common, for example to Edinburgh or London. The waiting or repositioning is built into the quote.
Can we stop on the way?
Yes. Comfort stops are planned into the timing, and you only need to tell us where you would like them.
Can I work during the journey?
Yes. There is generous luggage space and device charging on board, and if you tell us at booking we plan the cabin and the route around calls.
