Opposite York Station
The Grand York stands on Station Rise, directly across from York Railway Station. For the cleanest arrival we set down on Tea Room Square rather than on the busier main road, so cases come out of the boot and go straight in.
The last leg from the train
Many of our Grand clients arrive from London on LNER for a weekend stay. We meet them off the train and handle the short final leg with luggage, which matters more than the distance suggests when you have several bags and a busy station forecourt.
When waiting is needed, the Q-Park at the station is the closest option, keeping the car a few minutes away.
Stays, afternoon tea and anniversaries
Leaving the hotel for the station works the same way in reverse: we collect from Tea Room Square and time the short run to your train, so there is no dragging cases across the forecourt.
Guests coming from Harrogate for afternoon tea or an anniversary dinner usually travel in the silver Mercedes-Benz V-Class. Our silver Mercedes-Benz V-Class is a luxury MPV seating up to 7 passengers with generous luggage space, suited to executive groups, airport transfers, weddings and events. We can also add a day out from the hotel, such as a tour to Castle Howard or the coast.
