Whitby Goth Weekend Transfer
Costume-friendly transport from West Yorkshire to Whitby for the April and October Goth Weekends — no dry cleaner emergency on Church Street.
Whitby's Goth Weekend fills every hotel from Sleights to Robin Hood's Bay and there's nowhere sensible to park a costumed group of six by Saturday lunchtime. A chauffeured drop and collect solves both problems.
Booked by regulars on the Yorkshire goth circuit — often the same group April and October, sometimes with a photographer who wants a base vehicle.
West Yorkshire → A64 → A169 over the moors → Whitby West Cliff drop-off and Church Street collection.
The silver Mercedes-Benz V-Class is a luxury MPV seating up to 7 passengers with generous luggage space. Share passenger and luggage details when enquiring.
Weekend package: Friday afternoon drop, Sunday evening return. Or day-trip Saturday.
Leeds → Whitby return £395 · Harrogate £430 · Skipton £480 · York £320.
- Boot lined so trailing costume trims don't snag
- Steamer trunk space for corsets that travel flat
- Umbrellas and covered drop-off at the Royal Hotel or La Rosa
- 199-Steps drop at the base, not the west cliff (unless you want the walk)
- Sunday collection at your specified time — no rush to the last train
The A171 from Guisborough is often quicker than the A169 from Pickering on Goth Saturday
Church Street closes to non-permit traffic from 11:00 Saturday — we drop at the swing bridge instead
The Whitby jet shops on Church Street stay open until 20:00 on Goth Weekend Saturday
Can up to 7 adults in full costume fit?
Yes — V-Class with room. Seven only if two costumes are corseted (not crinolined). Send us costume descriptions if you're not sure.
Will the driver stay for the weekend?
No — we drop and return on the pre-arranged Sunday. If you need a driver on standby all weekend the price triples; almost nobody does.
Any goth-friendly hotels you recommend?
La Rosa (Bram Stoker's actual room), the Royal Hotel on the West Cliff, and the White Horse & Griffin on Church Street. We can drop at any of them.
