Brontë Country — Haworth, Top Withens & Ponden
Haworth Parsonage, the Top Withens moor walk, Ponden Kirk and lunch at the Old White Lion. Driven, not drained.
The moors above Haworth broke Emily Brontë's health and they will politely break yours if you drive them yourself in November. A chauffeured Brontë day means the walking is done at the parsonage and on the moor path, not in Keighley's one-way system.
Booked by literature graduates, university reading groups, and (increasingly) Korean visitors who've come specifically for Wuthering Heights.
Base → Brontë Parsonage Museum Haworth → Top Withens moor walk → Ponden Kirk → Old White Lion Haworth → home.

- Waterproofs and walking boots in the boot up to size 12
- Lunch reservation at the Old White Lion (Emily and Charlotte's local)
- Copy of Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre in the car for the drive

Haworth main-street parking is a nightmare after 11:00 — we drop at the church gate and pick up there
Top Withens is 4 miles round-trip from Penistone Hill, not from the parsonage
The Kellys Bakery sausage roll is a local institution — worth the 5-minute detour
How far is the Top Withens walk?
About 4 miles return from Penistone Hill car park where we drop you. Two hours at a comfortable pace with photo stops. It's genuinely the moor Emily walked.
Can we see inside the parsonage?
Yes — the museum is the parsonage. You'll walk through Emily's writing table room, Charlotte's bedroom, and the little dining room where they read to each other.
Haworth village on its own is a good day. Cobbled Main Street, the museum, the church and lunch — we tighten the schedule and skip the moor walk.
